How can weight loss surgery help you?
Our main office is located in Greenville, NC. It is less than a mile from PCMH, our main hospital, which is home to East Carolina School of Medicine. There are now Four surgeons in our the group.
Our office was built in 2004 to our exact specifications with space enough to allow room for growth. It seems that we are testing the limits of the building in our 5th year of existence. There are 8 exam rooms and one procedure room along with space enough to accomodate our administrative needs. It is usually during an office consultation that determination is made regarding need for surgery. Operations are scheduled by our scheduler and during that time, necessary tests are also scheduled prior to surgery. You will also get any instructions regarding any other preparations before surgery.
One essential step before any operation is scheduled is insurance approval. This step can at times prove to be the most difficult step. We as care providers are involved in making clinical determination regarding need for surgery. Insurance agencies may chose to disagree with clinical judgment of our surgeons and deny office visits, office procedures, or operations. It is important to understand that we are NOT the ones approving or denying operations. We do our best to help you get approval of any recommended procedure but ultimately, the decisions rests with your insurance carrier.
