Our office offers a Bariatric Support Group on each Monday of the month at different locations in Eastern NC. Below are the locations, day and time of each event. Please join us. Our support groups are open for anyone who has had surgery, thinking about surgery, in the process of having surgery or a friend or family member of someone that would like to gain insight on the world of Bariatrics.

In 2008 Southern Surgical took a new direction of recommitment to the highest level of customer service by adding a full time employee dedicated to our patients and quality of care provided to them. Laura B. Smith is our Bariatric Customer Care Representative. She is from Plymouth, NC. She moved to Greenville in 1988 to come to college. She found her passion in Marketing and Business. Laura not only gives our patients wonderful customer care, but is also a patient of Southern Surgical. She had gastric banding in August 2007. She is available as a resource for current and prospective patients about the journey she has already taken. She can be reached at (252) 295.9898. Laura is an avid swimmer, motivational speaker, enjoys traveling, and loves to spend time with her family. Her passion is people and she is committed to helping others during their weight loss journey.
